As many know, we now have a new president. I am one who encourages all to get out and vote; I don't care who you vote for; just vote because it's a GREAT right that we have to be able to do so. I kept my mouth quiet for who one should vote for....but now, here were are post the election and I have never realized the amount of people who complain! I mean I was at Starbucks and a business man gets on the phone 'yes, ready for change?'. I walk into work, and people ask me who I voted for and jokingly make comments about how this is going to be a bad thing and to get a seatbelt buckled!
Well, let's set aside color here, let's accept the fact that history has been made- we have a new president and let's see where we can go from here! I am so excited for Bush's last day so we can move forward and see the american dream come to life. FYI; If this were to be McCain, we would have that mentality of starting over with the American Dream; so why not for the winner?!?

I live in Missouri just outside of Kansas City.
The Arby's is just the local one we had here in our city. We don't own it or work at it. However, it was less than a mile from our backyard and it was reduced to rubble by a tornado. We have tornado warnings all the time but nothing had ever hit so close to home. Don't you just love the midwest weather?
Hey! Sorry it has been so long. It is so good to see that life is going so well for you. I am so happy for you and your husband. Zoli and I are currently living in Georgetown, CO. with plans to move back to AZ at the end of March. The snow here is ridiculous. Will definitely keep up with your blog.
Thank you for this post! It is so great to hear someone else saying that no matter who was elected, it's time for us to come together and accept that things in the past have not worked and let's give the new President elect (no matter who won) a chance at making a difference. I'm really sick of some people saying that they will move to Canada when Obama takes office. The rest of us hung in there with Bush, can't they give Obama a chance? Sure, if I had voted for McCain, I would be disappointed that he didn't win, but that doesn't mean that the world is coming to an end, that republicans have to move out of the country, or that they have to preach about doom of the world about to come. No matter who won and lost, it's time to step up as a nation and be the change we want to see. Why can't we all just get along? Haha
