It's 12:33 pm...
...and all of the offices are busy out to lunch themselves! How am I supposed to call and set up appointments when there is no one on the other side of the phone!?! Gah! Maybe I will have to sneek some calls while at work!
So much to do....so little time (or energy)!
How is this really expected? I have always made it to the Dr. for a yearly checkup. That is about it that I can say that I have done each and every year for my health. Yikes, I know!!!
How does one work a 45-hour week...without a child fit it all in?
How does one work a 45-hour week...without a child fit it all in?
- The last time I went to the dentist was freshman year in college; when I had my wisdom teeth pulled.
- The last time I went to the eye Dr. was...probably freshman year in college when I realized I couldn't read in the screen in the big lecture hall.
- About 2 months ago, we were told to find a pediatrician for Baby McG. Yes, I have asked some friends and family; but....have I interviewed anyone...no!
- We are trying to put the condo on the market and did meet with the realtor; still haven't heard back from him though!
- I plan on making several calls and arranging appointments for a dentist for both Sean and I (and see if they are taking new patients).
- I plan on calling a highly recommended pediatrician practice through Children's hospital and see if they are taking new patients and to see if we can set up an interview.
- I plan on calling our condo association to see the status on fixing our ceiling...yes, it has water marks...and I have prolonged their long over due response; I also have to inquire about an outdoor light fixture.
- I plan on calling my eye Dr. and see when I can go in for a check up and hopefully for a much needed new pair of glasses.
So- is it just me; or is it this easy to fall behind with all these appointments on top of trying to keep up with family and friends.

Valentine's Day Surprise
Well, I thought I would update you all on our first valentine's day as a married couple. This year I really wanted to do something memorable...and I think I accomplished that!
We woke up and Sean was thrilled to give me my presents; there they sat on the dinning room table a dozen of red roses and a large bag of goodies; a stuffed bear; peanut m & m's (my fav), other chocolates, a picture frame (my fav), and a few other fun things including a little princess heart shaped candy (he's too cute).
After he gave me my presents; he and I made breakfast together...pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, lots of stuff. I even tried to use my new 'smooch lips' cookie cutter to make the pancakes; but it wasn't working; then I tried hearts, and then I gave up; we had circles!
Sean knew he wasn't getting my gift until 4:30- and that I had a quick errand to run at 4:20- but I would be back to pick him up and he had to be ready. So, I left and then ran to Giant Eagle to pay for a large cookie that said "I love Sean" on it. As I left Giant Eagle, I called Sean...here's how the rest played out. I told him via the phone that if he wanted to see me again; he had to go to his jacket and follow the clues as quick as possible. Inside his jacket was a prerecorded card that told him I loved him and that he had to follow the clue on the left hand side and all of those that followed and to have fun. The first clue was to my aunt's house; where she greeted him at the door telling him to hurry to the next stop...that was Giant Eagle (to pick up the cookie I just paid for). The next stop was my Mom's mailbox. Then, the best stop in my opinion was the dollar tree, where he left with 10 valentine Mylar balloons. He was then directed to his Dad's house where he got his last clue to meet at our first date restaurant. There, I had reserved the SAME booth we sat at for our first date. Each stop also had his favorite candies and other little presents to keep him moving.

(This is Sean leaving the dollar tree; yes, I was hiding and took pics!)
As we sat at dinner; I looked around the restaurant (we haven't been back since our first date) and I kept looking at him; and I remember sitting there the first time hoping that 'this guy' would be the guy. I am so lucky to have Sean enter my life and to say that he has made me incredibly happy is an understatement.
And, for all of those who are wondering; what did Sean think of this scavenger hunt?!? He said over and over that it was very creative, he's excited to see what I will do for our kids most of all....he did enjoy it; even better he had no clue about it and was very surprised and touched by it.

Stupid silly stuff that's made me laugh...
Well, not sure if I have completely lost my marbles, but I can say that I have been doing weird stuff lately that just makes me laugh. Here's a few that will hopefully put a smile on your face.

- When making eggs for dinner, I cracked the first egg's shell and put it in the bowl. Now, onto the second egg, I cracked it...and poured it into the carton; then threw the shell into the bowl.
- I have put the box of cereal in the fridge, and the milk in the pantry.
- When moving a fan from one side of the desk to the other, apparently my pinkie slid right in and got caught within the plastic blade...ouch! It's not a terrible cut; a little larger than a paper cut. But for those of you who may have forgotten; turn a fan off prior to moving it!
- When going to the bathroom the other day at work, I walked up the stairs...stood there and asked myself where the heck I was going since there wasn't a bathroom upstairs!
- Thankful for my new car; I locked my keys in the car!!! But I just entered the code on the side of the door; and I picked them up (Thanks Sean for the car!)
Well, I guess that's not many; but each one of them I ask myself...what the heck!!!

I am "lucky"!!!
I remembered I used to question the definition of "luck". I mean, what does "luck" really mean? Pure "luck" to buy that winning lottery ticket? Do you make your own "luck" by thinking certain ways? Is luck really finding that four leaf clover in a patch? With that said, I guess I never really believed in luck; not going to lie...I still don't.
However, whatever "luck" means; I certainly feel lucky! I know a bit of an 'oxymoron', however, I really feel so lucky to have such a loving husband. I am now 15 weeks along with our first child and it's been fairly an easy pregnancy (other than being tired). And, with that said, not once have I asked for help with laundry, trash, dishes, nothing!!! And, in those 15 weeks, I can't tell you when I have done any of those tasks. This past Tuesday and Wednesday Sean was off work and asked for a "to-do" list. So, I gave him one and made my own as well....you know since my energy is starting to come back I should start pulling my own weight around here. Well, guess what; he completed both of his; and mine! And, now here I sit...blogging.
I am not lucky just because my husband does things around here without me asking, but I am lucky to have such an amazing guy truly love me (and I love him back more and more everyday which I didn't know was possible). I never dreamed that I would find such a great guy; never!!! And, now, here I am each day loving this amazing guy; and I will admit I hope that it stays this way after the little one is here, and the next little one, and well, the next...and the next! I hope we always stay this way; so happy and so in love. We both love our condo that we live in; and know that one day soon we will put it on the market...moving onto something together and for our family, I hope we are just as happy there as we are here. And, now here I sit like a high school girl waiting by the phone for Sean to call me on his way home from work.
I know sometimes people can get wrapped up in things and not remember the value of what they have...what areas are you lucky in?

Baby McG Update
I just thought I would update you on today's Doctor's appointment. Sean went with me again and it was just a short little appointment to check BP, urine test, and the baby's heartbeat. Well, the first of the two were very easy; my BP is down from the first visit. It was 130/82 today...which is actually high from when I take it at home...so I may have a bit of that "white coat syndrome".
Then it was time to find the baby's heartbeat. Sean and I played a game to guess what it would be...my guess, 142; his guess 155. The nurse put the little sonogram thing on me and about 5 minutes passed with commentary such as "wow, it's never been this hard for me to find a heartbeat" needless to say her bedside manor wasn't any good. She then left and went to get the RN. The RN came in the room; and I breathed a sigh of relief this was the nurse we had last time and she was GREAT! She put that thing on me; and...20 seconds later we had a strong heartbeat of 154...Sean was so close!
The Doctor says everything else looks good and that we will see him again on March 10th for the BIG ultrasound. :-)
