So much to do....so little time (or energy)!

How is this really expected? I have always made it to the Dr. for a yearly checkup. That is about it that I can say that I have done each and every year for my health. Yikes, I know!!!

How does one work a 45-hour week...without a child fit it all in?
  • The last time I went to the dentist was freshman year in college; when I had my wisdom teeth pulled.
  • The last time I went to the eye Dr. was...probably freshman year in college when I realized I couldn't read in the screen in the big lecture hall.
  • About 2 months ago, we were told to find a pediatrician for Baby McG. Yes, I have asked some friends and family; but....have I interviewed anyone...no!
  • We are trying to put the condo on the market and did meet with the realtor; still haven't heard back from him though!
Today at my lunch break...
  • I plan on making several calls and arranging appointments for a dentist for both Sean and I (and see if they are taking new patients).
  • I plan on calling a highly recommended pediatrician practice through Children's hospital and see if they are taking new patients and to see if we can set up an interview.
  • I plan on calling our condo association to see the status on fixing our ceiling...yes, it has water marks...and I have prolonged their long over due response; I also have to inquire about an outdoor light fixture.
  • I plan on calling my eye Dr. and see when I can go in for a check up and hopefully for a much needed new pair of glasses.

So- is it just me; or is it this easy to fall behind with all these appointments on top of trying to keep up with family and friends.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!! It is so easy to put those things off for yourself but you will find it's different with the baby. We went to a pediatrician for about a year and then ended up switching our whole family to a family practice doctor.

Good luck on you big too do list!!!

Just wait until little one is born...you'll be even further behind! Just take one moment at a time...you'll find that one day you'll make all the appointments...I take all three kids at the same time to the dentist...makes for a hectic time there...but I don't want three separate times!

You're going to do great sis!! I can't wait to hear...what color did you pick?

It's definitely easy to fall behind but really important not to let it happen. If you need any recommendations (& even if you don't), I really like my dentist, Dr. Amanda Donnelly on Graham Road; I've been going to my eye doctors, Drs. Charles & Jennifer Glanville & Dr. Scott Hussing, on State Rd. since I was a baby & they're GREAT.
